It is a funny thing about birthday’s. We all know they come for most of us every year, except leap year babies, so we all prepare for them in our own special way. Some of us will avoid them, I’m in that group, some will pretend they never happen, some will hope they end soon and nobody remembers and some embrace them,  just have a good time and move on.

It really is a lot easier than you think to try blog marketing. It can be very helpful if you even have a little bit of blogging experience. You will then only need to learn a few new things and you might be able to start earning money from your blog in a few different ways.

The first thing you will want to do is make sure you are pretty comfortable using the blogging software. I personally like to work with WordPress blogs. But there is a lot of other blogging software out there. Just find one you like and learn as much as you can about. That way you will become familiar with using it. If you are not as interested with customization, you might do great with a free blog from Blogger.com or wordpress.com. You will want to be comfortable with the way your blog software works. You can then decide which market will work best for you. That market is sometimes referred to as a ‘niche’. Some examples of niches are internet marketing or weight loss. You will be trying to find a market with not a lot of competition while still being very popular. This might require you to get more specific in your choice of niches like ‘wine coolers’ or ‘senior dating’. You will hear a lot of talk about choosing a niche that is of interest to you, but you may also want to take into consideration finding a niche that is profitable.

So, now everything is in place for you to start blog marketing. You just need to fill your blog with interesting posts, also called content, that has to do with your niche. Let’s say you choose the ‘senior dating’ niche, then you will want to make sure you fill your blog with interesting content about senior dating. Just write some posts about dating activities and how seniors can plan dates. This can make your readers want to read your content, since you will be giving them some good information. And that is the whole point, to get a lot of traffic to your new blog.

By this time, you should have some really great information on your blog. Now you can come up with some ways that you can make money from it. You could put pay per click ads on it and be earning money when people click on the ads. You might also write reviews of affiliate products and recommend that your readers purchase products through the link provided in your posts. But, one of the most important and useful ways for long term income is to offer your readers a free gift, a bribe, in exchange for their name and email address. That way you can build up a mailing list and be able to market to them over and over and over again.

You will want to work on getting as much traffic to your blog as possible. I would advise you to read up and learn how to make powerful blog posts and how to also optimize a blog for maximum visitors.
